Author/Illustrator

My children's books celebrate curiosity, and reveal the interconnectedness of nature and cultures with our own lives.
Completed book dummies:
-
Under the Light of the Moon: A nonfiction picture book that invites young readers to discover how animals around the world live by nature's clock. Awarded the First Runner-Up Mentorship through Picture Book Rising Stars (2024).
-
Just Like Hayley: A picture book about a little girl determined to become a gymnast, who discovers that the dream she was chasing wasn't the one she was meant to follow.
Completed manuscripts:
-
The Enchanted Little Shop on West 8th: A picture book about the transformative power of stories, in which a Japanese shopkeeper's tales carry a curious young girl across oceans—without ever leaving New York City. Inspired by the childhood experience that changed the course of my own life.
-
What the Moon Mirrors Back: A globe-spanning middle-grade adventure in which siblings travel at the speed of light as creation stories from cultures around the world come to life, sweeping them into humanity's oldest mystery.
Work-in-progress:
-
God's Water: Set in New Jersey's Pine Barrens in the 1970s, where the Pigmy Pine Forests, cedar swamps, and vast aquifer have come under threat, this coming-of-age novel tells the story of one resourceful young Piney who learns that the secret to saving her beloved Pine Barrens isn't hidden within the forest—but in the halls of New
York City.
Inspired by my youth in New Jersey's Pine Barrens, the actual proposal to tap its aquifer for New York City's water supply, and my own early adventures in New York City.
